Experience
I earned my degree in English education at Central South University in China. I then came to the United States, where I have spent six years teaching Mandarin Chinese and working as an interpreter. I love to teach, and I love helping students learn Mandarin Chinese. When I work with a new student, I start with the very basics of pronunciation and sound. This then progresses to words, numbers, simple phrases, expressions, writing etc. I also help students learn about the Chinese culture, holidays, etiquette, festivals, and more. I like to use a lot of resources to help students learn, including songs, poems, and activities. This makes Mandarin Chinese more interesting and fun for the student, keeping them engaged and learning. When I have free time, I like to exercise, swim, hike, and spend time with family.
